Privacy Policy
Our Commitment To Privacy
(Effective: July 27, 2011)
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available from our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on RecoverCare's Website.
Please read our "Notice of Privacy Practices" to understand how any Protected Health Information ("PHI") that you submit via this site will be treated. Information communicated electronically may be incorporated and retained in a medical record maintained by RecoverCare about you and may be disseminated as part of an authorized release of a copy of the medical record.
On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:
-
Name, Address, Email address, Phone number, and payment information such as the information we need to bill your Credit or Debit Card for orders you place via RecoverCare's Website.
-
Log Files
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol ("IP") addresses, browser type, internet service provider ("ISP"), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Although we do not routinely associate this data with records containing Personal Data, we will use IP addresses to identify any user who refuses to comply with our Terms of Use and to identify users who threaten our service, Site, or other users.

Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site and [do/do not] link this information stored in cookies to personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. We may use both session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies as part of the site's functionality. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser and allows the Site to display your current session. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time and may be used to store your username or other identifier used by the Site. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser's "help" file.
Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We strongly recommend that you leave the cookies activated in order to ensure the proper functionality of the Site.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order to complete that order, and we may use the information to send you a receipt for that order or information about products or upcoming healthcare-related events that may be of interest to you. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order, and you may opt out of receiving this information at any time by contacting us by electronic mail at privacy@recovercare.com
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
RecoverCare.com's Online Portal
If you choose to subscribe to RecoverCare.com's online portal, we will ask you to provide personal information about yourself, which may include your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We will also ask you to complete a profile so that you can tell us what types of products you are interested in learning more about. Once you have enrolled on the site, we may occasionally send you information advising you of upcoming events, new products, and special offers. We may also send electronic messages to your email address advising you of certain products based on your identified interests or from your past purchases.
We will not, however, share any of this information with any other entities without providing you with an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. We will also provide you with the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
How You Can Access or Correct Your Information
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us an email request that credibly shows error.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
How To Contact Us
Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please call us at (502) 489-9449 or send us an email at privacy@recovercare.com.
